Dual Reelers and Twin Take Ups
Dual reelers to suit reel sizes from 300 to 1250 mm diameter are supplied with automatic changeover, with no reduction in the process line speed. A range of features help to reduce downtime and increase productivity and quality:
- The reel loading is manual power assisted in the semi-automatic version and is automatic in the fully automatic version.
- The dual reelers are fully guarded and the interface with existing process lines is simple.
- The changeover sequence can be selected manually or by length count.
- Adjustment of traverse pitch and width are made on the HMI touch screen.
For sheathing line applications the twin take up and accumulator can offer a more cost effective solution. The changeover from the full to empty reel takes place manually with the production being stored in an accumulator. After the restart of empty take up the accumulator is emptied and prepared for the next changeover. Various reel sizes of up to 2000 mm diameter and of wooden construction can be used. The traverse is moved automatically from the full to empty reel and is supplied with a cut and feed system to assist the operator.
